The Area

The property is situated in a quiet country lane with a few houses on each side. It isn't completely isolated because I didn't want to be in a house miles away from others - I know from experience that people who buy these houses frequently regret it because once the tranquility becomes the 'norm' you simply wish that you were at least within reach of another human being!

Having said that, it really is incredibly peaceful. On a balmy summers day you sit by your front door with all the windows and doors open and you can spend hours just watching the myriad of wildlife - mainly thousands of tiny birds - from your front door. The butterflies are amazing and the tiny colourful birds come right up to the door.

When you come out of the front door of the house you can walk to the right down a long country path when you can look to the right over the valley with its picturesque views. From the field at the end of this walk it feels as though you can see the whole of Normandy.

Turning to the left you can walk to the end of the lane past the few houses either side.

Nearest Town and Village
The nearest village is just a couple of minutes drive away and has a church, a bar and a tiny shop. This is the village but the main town of Conde Sur Noireau is only 5 minutes drive away and here you can buy anything you may need. With main banks and the post office, together with supermarkets and a large weekly market which bustles with people.

Activities in the Area
The area is right on the edge of the famous Suisse Normandie where you can spend hours admiring the scenery or joining in with the mass of activities the natural landscape lends itself to. And at the end of your stay Caen is just 45 minutes away when you feel the need to return to the UK.
